The Flemington Racecourse Pedestrian Link involved the construction of a landmark external stairway and associated public realm works, providing a critical pedestrian connection between Flemington Railway Station and the racecourse betting ring.

Valued at approximately $4.1 million, the project included an architecturally designed reinforced concrete stair structure with structural steel, precast concrete treads, stainless steel balustrades, feature lighting, drainage and associated civil works.

Delivered within a live transport and major events environment, the project required complex concrete construction, structural steel installation, high-quality architectural finishes, coordination of specialist subcontractors and strict safety, quality and program management.
